What is MAGIC to you today!

I read somewhere that, "When technology is really advanced, it becomes indistinguishable from MAGIC"!

If we could travel back in a time machine to the last century with an iPad or a BMW Q7, chances are that the people would mistake you for a witch doctor or evil spirit. They would either worship you or cut your head off.

Technology has changed our world and the opportunities before us. We sometimes scratch our heads when we are asked to define "Advanced". How advanced is advanced?

When we type a text on Google and see the screen guessing what we want even before we finish, we just accept the "advanced" technology. When we open a social network account and the internet tells us who are our friends already on the network, we don't see any MAGIC - just technology at work.

I remember straining my eyes on the black dots of a tv screen to eagerly watch the Asiad Games in 1982. today we have 100 + channels and not a black dot and we are not amazed. No Magic, just advanced technology. I remember eagerly reading the Illustrated Weekly every week (twenty five years ago). On every page there was something new and exciting and yes, it was magical.

Surely, we will experience magic again some day...
The magic of cell technology, or quantum physics, etc(which i never seem to understand). I believe that the reason for our lack of excitement or amazed sense of magic is because the technology even if its advanced is "already- always" around us.

I am sure that we know that there is new technology going to come and advance everyday.
The reason for our loss of the feeling of Magic is because most of us have already imagined it.
